Common Name The Broad Flowered Dendrobium

Flower Size 1.2" [3 cm]

Found in Borneo in lower montane forests at elevations of 400 to 1200 meters as a medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with clustered, erect, simple, cylindrical, longitudinally grooved and somewhat curved, densely leafy canes carrying many, oblong, smooth, leathery, distichous, obtuse to shortly obtusely bilobed to slightly obliquely acute leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on a short, axillary, single flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute to acuminate floral bracts.

Distinguished from others by the pandurate-flabellate lip with a large, gently undulating mid-lobe as well as the non-papillose disc bearing three slightly raised, orange to red nerves. The anther cap is also orange to red.
