Common Name The Panther Like Dendrobium [refers to the red spotted flower]

Found in New Guinea at elevations around 1100 meters as a large to giant sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to simple, slightly compressed stems carrying many, erect-patent, glabrous, linear, obliquely acute leaves that blooms in the winter on lateral, compressed, short, peduncle .6" [1.5 cm] long 2 flowered inflorescence.
Schlechter states that the flowers are pale yellow with dark red dots and the lip is white with a yellow crest. The column foot is golden yellow in front
