Found in Assam, the eastern Himalayas, Thailand, Laos, China, Vietnam and the Philippines at elevations of 800 to 1700 meters as a miniature to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with slender, close set, mid to apically leafy stems carrying, many, disitchous, widely spaced, somewhat flattened, linear, narrow, fleshy, nearly terete leaves that blooms in the fall on a short, single flowered inflorescence arising on leafy or leafless stems
