Found in New Guinea at elevations around 450 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to simple, slightly compressed, leafy stems carrying many patent, glabrous, oblong to oblong-ligulate,oblique, unequally and obtusely bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the fall on an axillary, short, subsessile, 2 flowered inflorescence.
Schlechter states that the flowers are salmon-yellow.
