Found in New Guinea and the Bismark Archipelago in montane forests at elevations around 550 meters as a small to medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with basally compressed, slender stems that are leafless below and carry many, leathery, linear to tongue shaped, erect to suberect, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the early winter on short, lateral single flowered inflorescence.
