Common Name The Many-Spotted Dendrobium

Flower Size 1 1/2 to 2 1/2" [.75 cm to 6.25 cm]

Found in New Guinea in mist forests on mossy tree trunks and main branches at elevations of 1200 to 1900 meters and from the Solomon Islands, Bouganville Island, the Santa Cruz Islands, and Vanuatu at elevations of 150 to 750 meters as a small to large sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte occurs with erect, 3 to 5 noded below the leaves, yellow stems carrying, 2, elliptical-oblong, erect to spreading leaves that blooms in the fall till late winter and then in the spring on an erect, densely many [8 to 12] flowered raceme that arises apical from the apex of a cane with open, flattened flowers

Regular year round watering and fertilizing is needed to ensure regular .

Very similar to or synomonous with Den macrophyllum, but at this time I have left them separate, please go to D macrophyllum as well to get a complete picture of this species.
