Found in New Guinea at elevations around 600 meters as a medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with a very short rhizome giving rise to simple, thin, compressed, leafy stems carrying erect, glabrous, linear, obtuse and unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the winter on an axillary, short, single flowered inflorescence carrying a non-resupinate flower.
Schlechter states that the flowers are white, closely dotted with rose red and the lip is dotted and flecked with brownish red.
