Found in Assam, Myanmar and Thailand in montane forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with swollen stems enveloped by deciduous leaf sheaths and carrying 6, deciduous leaves that blooms in the spring on 1 to 2, 2 to 4" [5 to 10 cm] long, to 20 densely flowered inflorescence arising from the nodes near the apex of the stem
