Common Name or Meaning The Rose Scented Dendrobium

Found in Vietnam on boulders or tree branches at elevations of 1000 to 1200 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with clustered, erect, narrowly fusiform, slightly flexuous, weakly sulcate with age, leafy throughout stems almost completely enveloped by leaf sheaths and carrying distichous, patent, slightly recurved, coriaceous, lanceolate, entire, dark green, both surfaces covered by dense hirsute hairs, adaxial hairs brownish, abaxial hairs blackish, unequally bilobed apically, leaves that blooms in the late summer and fall on a very short, terminal or axillary, arising towards the apex of the stem, 1 to 5 flowered inflorescence with ovate-triangular to lanceolate-triangular, acuminate, concave, brown, abaxial surface brown haired, adaxial surface glabrous floral bracts and carrying sweetly scented flowers.
