Common Name The Star-Like Dendrobium [refers to the flowers shape]
Flower Size .4 to .48" [1 to 1.2 cm]
Found in central and eastern Java in wet montane forests at elevations of 1600 to 2100 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with descending to pendent, thin at the base, clavate, wrinkled with age, blackish green, leafy towards the apex pseudobulbs carrying to 6, disitchous, eventually deciduous, spreading soft textured, thinly leathery, fleshy, narrowly oblong to narrowly ovate to ligulate, acute to obtuse, unequally minutely bilobed leaves that blooms in the summer on 1 to 3, distal or pseudoterminal, pendent, simultaneously to 10 flowered inflorescence arising usually on leafless pseudobulbs carrying pendent, long-lasting flowers
