Found in New Guinea at elevations around 800 meters as a large sized, warm growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to simple, thin, flexuous stems carrying many, erect-patent, glabrous, laxly lanceolate-ligulate, subacute leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a very short, subsessile, 2 flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the flowers are whitish, closely dotted with violet red, with a white column and the foot marked apically by a violet red spot.
