Common Name or Meaning The Flax-Like Dendrobium [refers to the hairs on the lip] - In China Cha Chun Shi Hu
Flower Size 1/2" to 3/4" [1.25 to 2 cm]
Found in Assam India, eastern Himalayas, Bhutan, Sikkim, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Yunnan province of China, Java, Borneo and Sumatra in lower montane forests at elevations of 400 to 2800 meters as a small sized, hot to cold growing epiphyte in open montane forests or lithophyte on volcanic rocks with slender, erect, grooved stems carrying linear-oblong, shiny yellow-green leaves that blooms in the late spring and fall on several short inflorescence that arise from the nodes of leafless stems as a new growth arises and carries 2 hairy lipped flowers.
