Common Name or Meaning The Flax-Like Dendrobium [refers to the hairs on the lip] - In China Cha Chun Shi Hu

Flower Size 1/2" to 3/4" [1.25 to 2 cm]

Found in Assam India, eastern Himalayas, Bhutan, Sikkim, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Yunnan China, Java, Borneo and Sumatra in lower montane forests at elevations of 400 to 2800 meters as a small sized, hot to cold growing epiphyte in open montane forests or lithophyte on volcanic rocks with slender, erect, grooved stems carrying linear-oblong, shiny yellow-green leaves that blooms in the late spring and fall on several short inflorescence that arise from the nodes of leafless stems as a new growth arises and carries 2 hairy lipped flowers.

This species and D sphegidiglossum are often cited as synonymns. D stuposum would take precedence if so.
