Common Name Tan Jiew Hoe's Dendrobium [president of the Singapore Gardening Society current]

Flower Size .72" [1.8 cm] wide

Found in Sabah Borneo in hill forests at elevations around 800 meters as a small to medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with clustered, horizontal to hanging, olive green, purple at the nodes and on leafless stems carrying several, elliptic, obliquely acute to acumiante, thinly coriaceous leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a hanging, on the distal portion of leafless stems, 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, to 7 flowered, purple red inflorescence with triangular, acute, green spotted pink floral bracts.

Very similar in lip shape to D compressumin the SECTION Platycaulon
