Found in western Sumatra at elevations around 1500 meters as a large sized, cool growing epiphyte with long, thin, grooved, greenish yellow to yellowish brown stems carrying narrowly lanceolate, narrowing towards the apex, deciduous, papery, unequally bilobed, lobes obtuse leaves that blooms on short, almost sessile, arising from near the apex of leafless stems, .4" [1 cm] long, 2 to 6 flowered inflorescence carrying honey scented flowers that are mostly light yellow but the sepals are spotted with purple
