Common Name or Meaning The Nerved Keel Dendrobium [refers to the sepals]

Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found in Sumatra at elevations around 900 to 1200 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with spreading to pendent stems carrying lanceolate-triangular, acute, fleshy leaves that blooms in the later summer on a terminal, successively 1 to 2, many flowered inflorescence arising through the bundles of bracts at the stem apice.

The color of the flower above is affected by the flash, they truly are very dark purple.
