Common Name The Burned Red Dendrobium
Flower Size .4" [1 cm]
Found in penninsular Malaysia and Sabah and Sarawak Borneo in hill forests at elevations around 900 to 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphye with alternate, prostate, 4 internoded, olive yellow stems the basal one terete, the middle ones, quadrangular, oblong-globose, abruptly dilated at the base, the upper one minute and supporting the 2, apical, movate-oblong, very fleshy, dark green often suffused with red leaves that blooms in the summer from a tuft of dry bracts, .8" [2 cm] long, successively single flowered inflorescence.
