Found in New Guinea in disturbed rainforests at elevations around 500 to 690 meters as a small to medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with stems carrying to 8, deciduous, leaves grouped in the apical 1/3 of the stem that blooms at most any time of the year on several, lateral, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence arising on the leafless pseudobulbs and carrying flowers that last about 5 to 10 days.
