Found in Sulawesi in montane forests on trees and along roadsides and windswept ridges on isolated trees at elevations of 950 to 1700 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect cane-like stems carrying a few, short black haired beneath, strap-shaped leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on lateral, to 4 flowered inflroescence arising on leafless canes and carrying very long lasting flowers.
