Found on southern Seran Island within the Moluccas at elevations around 1700 to 2000 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with clustered, branching canes carrying many, ovate-lanceolate, rigidly papery, deciduous, graduating smaller towards the apex leaves, nearly erect leaves that blooms in the late spring on an erect to suberect, short, arising on leafless stems, 3 flowered inflorescence carrying flowers with red tepals and a white fringed lip.
