Found in Amazonas Brazil near Manaus in dense ombrophilous forest at elevations of 90 to 100 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot growing epiphyte with a cylindrical shaped, not branched stem enveloped almost completely by imbricate leaf bases carrying deciduous, distichous, elliptic, apiculate, rounded basally, articulate below leaves that blooms in the fall on an axillary, 6.8 mm] long, single flowered inflorescence with two tubular, sharp apex, entire margin, slightly greenish white-colored bracts at its base.
