Common Name The Ecuadorian Dichaea

Found in Ecuador in extremely wet cloud forests at elevations of 450 to 2400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with branched, cane-like, semipendent stems carrying not deciduous, not close set, disitchous, slender, curved up at the apex leaves that bloom at most any time of the year on a axillary, short, single flowered inflorescence.
Distinguished by the column having a wide pendent apical part without an infrastigmatic ligule
