Common Name Elmer's Dilochia [American botanist and Orchid Collector late 1800's in the Philippines]

Found in the Philippines at elevations around 500 meters as a giant sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a pendulous, leafy in the upper 2 thirds stem carrying lanceolate, aomewhat leathery, decreasing in size towards the apex leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on a terminal, branching, bracteate in two rows, , to 8" [20 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence.

The flowers are white with a heavily carmine to dark pink blotched lip
