Common Name Ross' Dimorphorchis [American Orchid Enthusiast late 1900's and Co-discoverer of species]

Flower Size 2" [5 cm]

Found in Sabah in riverine and lower montane forests on the eastern slopes of Mt Kinabalu at elevations around 300 to 1200 meters as a large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte. This plant has two flower forms on the same inflorescence, the upper, orange flower is fragrant while the lower yellow flower is not. The plant is similar to Vanda and the inflorescence arises from the leaf axils and is pendant, laxly few to several flowered and to 3' [90 cm] long.
