Found in Transvaal South Africa on rocky ledges and in rock crevices at elevations of 1200 to 1800 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with flexuous to erect, narrowly lanceolate, spreading leaves grading to sheathing above leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, subcorymbose, laxly several flowered inflorescence
