Found in southwestern Cape Province South Africa in marshy areas on sandflats in full sun at elevations of sealevel to 200 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with ellipsoid pseudobulbs that blooms in the spring on an erect, terminal, to 20" [50 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence
