Common Name The Red Disa

Found in southern Cape Province South Africa along streams on inland slopes in full sun at elevations around 600 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with radical, narrowly elliptical, grading into cauline leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, terminal, to 24" [60 cm] long, several to many [25] flowered inflorescence carrying resupinate flowers
