Found in western Cape Province at elevations of 1550 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with 7 to 10, lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, grading above into the bracts leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a short, dense, 2 to 2.4" [5 to 6cm] long, 20 to 25 flowered inflorescence with glabrous, gree to green infused with beet red to beet red floral bracts that are longer than the flowers
