Found in W Cape Province near streams in rocky soil at elevations around 1500 meters as a slender small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a basal rosette of 4 to 8, linear, acute, lorate, the rest sheathing leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, lax, to 12" [to 30 cm] long, several to many flowered inflorescence.
