Found in S Cape Province and Natal South Africa, in swamps in full sun at elevations of 1500 to 2000 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terresrial that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, terminal, to 20" [ to 50 cm] long, 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence,
