Found in Cape Province, Natal, Orange Free State and Transvaal in grasslands often in seepages or along stream banks in full sun at elevations of 400 to 2700 meters as a mini-minature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a solitary, radical, pellucid margined, orbicular to cordate leaf that blooms in the late spring and summer on an erect, terminal, to 12" [30 cm] long, laxly 3 to 15 flowered inflorescence and carrying spicy, chocolate scented flowers
