Found in northwestern Madagascar on calcareous rocks and in limestone crevasses in deep shade and leaf detrius at elevations of 30 to 350 meters as a small sized, hot growing lithophtye or terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 2 to 3, distant, sessile, ovate to lanceolate, acute to apiculate, dark green with 3 white-pink lateral veined above and violet below leaves that blooms in the spring through summer on an erect, terminal, several flowered inflorescence
