Found in northeastern Madagascar in moss on top of boulders in river bed at elevations of sea level to 25 meters as a small szied, hot growing terrestrial with 2 narrowly ovate, rounded basally, green leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, 3.2 to 4.8" [8 to 12 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary floral bracts
