Found in Western Australia in woodlands and on granite outcrops as a cold growing terrestrial with tubers giving rise to 2 to 5 leaves that blooms in the earlier winter through mid spring on an erect, 3.2 to 12" [8 to 30 cm] long, to 3 flowered inflorescence.
