Common Name The Broad Diuris - The Blue Mountains Doubletail
Flower Size 1.4 to 1.6" [3.5 to 4 cm]
Found in Queensland to New South Wales Australia in drier open forest with sparse understory at elevations of 200 to 900 meters as a medium to large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a slender, upper part dark purple stem carrying 1 to 2, linear, rather rigid, conduplicate leaves that blooms in the late winter and spring on an erect, flexuous, 12 to 28" [30 to 70 cm] long, 2 to 10 flowered inflorescence.
There is a great variability in flower shape and brown coloration on the yellow in this species.
