Found in Queensland on ridges and slopes in sparse grassy forests at elevations of 700 to 1200 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing terrestrial with a folded, basally purplish leaf that blooms in the fall on a 8 to 165" [20 to 40 cm] long, 1 to 10 flowered inflorescence
