This medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial species is found in Australia in the states of Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania and South Australia occuring in grassy eucalypt and heathy forest at elevations of sea level to 300 meters with 1 to 3, conduplicate leaves that blooms in the late winter and spring on an erect, 18" [45 cm] tall, 1 to 8 flowered inflorescence.
