Common Name The Veined Diuris The Goat Orchid - Veined Doubletail

Flower Size .65 to 1" [1.8 to 2.5 cm]

Found in northeastern New South Wales Australia at elevations of 1100 to 1200 meters on grassy slopes or under eucalypts and in open grasslands and herbfields as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a rather robust, dark purplish-red stem 3 to 5, tufted, straight, rather short leaves that blooms in the later spring and early summer on an erect, 4 to 16" [40 cm] long, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescnece
