Common Name The Shining Drakaea - In Australia The Warty Hammer Orchid

Flower Size 1 to 1.6" [2.5 to 4 cm]

Found in southwest Western Australia in Jarrah and coastal scrub at elevations of 30 to 300 meters as a small to medium sized, cold to cool growing terrestrial with a single, dark green, hairless leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, 6 to 16" [15 to 40 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
