Common Name or Meaning The Golden Dryadella [refers to the flowers color]

Flower Size .2" [5 mm]

Found in Morona-Santiago province of Ecuador and Pasco deartment of Peru in lowland forests as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing, caespitose epiphyte at elevations around 700 to 950 meters with erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 thin, loose, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, narrowly linear-obovate, acute, gradually narrows below into the base leaf that blooms in the fall on a congested, successively single flowered, .4" [1 cm] long, racemose inflorescnece arising from low on the ramicaul and enveloped by a sheath and carrying thin, imbricating floral bracts.

"Characterized by the small habit, narrowly oblovate leaves, small, clear, yellow orange flowers, acute, acuminate but tailess sepals and a thick, suboblongblade of the lip with apair of low, rounded cainae below the middle." Luer 1999
