Found in Yunnan province of China, Thailand and Laos in primary evergreen, broad-leaved, submontane forests at elevations of 200 to 1100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing, quickly deciduous-leafed epiphyte with close set, spherical, dense, squashed, extremely wrinkled pseudobulbs with 2 apical, ovate, leaves that that blooms in the late winter and spring on a 2" [5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
