Common Name Assumpcao's Electroplectris [Brazilian Original Collector of species current]

Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil at elevfations of 500 to 800 meters as a large sized, warm growing terrestrial with 2 to 3, oblong-lanceolate, narrowing below into the elongate, pseudopetiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall in cultivation on an erect, 24 to 32" [60 to 80 cm] long, peduncle pilose, dark red, with a few well spaced bracts, a short rachis, few flowered inflorescence carrying maroon and white flowers.
