Flower Size 1.2 to 1.36" [3 to 3.4 cm]

Found in Oaxaca state of western Mexico at elevations around 1200 to 1300 meters as a large sized, cool growing lithophyte with clustered, ovoid to pyriform, green and smooth in youth, maroon or purple stained with age pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, apical, linear-oblong to oblong-ligulate, subacute, coriaceous, dark green to purple tinged, conduplicate below leaves that blooms in the spring and early summer on an erect, terminal, racemose to paniculate, 3 to 4 branched, each branch 1.4 to 4.4" [2.6 to 11 cm] long, 24 to 36" [60 to 90 cm] long ovarall, to 50 flowered inflorescence with 3 to 8 flowers on each branch
