Common Name or Meaning The Kinabalu Entomophobia [A mountain in Borneo]
Flower Size .2" [5 mm]
Found in Borneo and central Sulawesi in lower to upper montane forest at elevations of 900 to 2300 meters as a medium to large sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte or on limestone rocks as a lithophyte with close set, obolong to ovate-oblong pseudobulbs envelope basally by several imbricate, scarious sheaths and carrying 2, apical, erect, coriaceous, linear, acute, 3 to 7 nerved, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate, petiolate base leaves that blooms at any time of the year on a terminal, erect, somewhat compressed, slightly fractiflex rachis, [to 9.6" [24 cm] long, 15 to 42 flowered inflorescnece that arises with a new growth and carries the distichous flowers all facing the same way.
