Found in Colombia and Venezuela at elevations around 2700 meters as a medium sized, cold growing epiphyte with stems completely enveloped by leafsheaths and carrying several coriaceous, distichous, oblong-lanceolate, obtuse, leaves that are articulated below to the leaf sheaths that blooms on a terminal, many flowered, racemose, 4" [10 cm] long inflorescence arising through a falcate, carinate spathe.
