Common Name The Broad Clinandrium Epidendrum

Found in southern Ecuador around Loja at elevations of 2600 to 2900 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing caespitose terrestrial or epiphyte wioth laterally compressed, short, branching stems carrying 4 to 14, ovate-elliptic, apiculate leaves that blooms without a spathe on an apical, erect, racemose, simultaneous 8 to 30 flowered inflorescence enveloped by tubular, acute, conduplicate bracts and acuminate floral bracts that are 1/4 to 1/2 the length of the ovary and carry resupinate flowers.
