Found in Malaysia, Borneo and Java in lower montane forests, most often close to the ground at elevations of 700 to 1000 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a long creeping to pendant rhizome carrying, oblong, 4 sided pseudobulbs with long-oval, unequally and obtusely bilobed apically, dark green leaves that develop before the pseduobulbs and blooms in the winter arising before the pseudobulbs properly form, with often 2, 3.2" [8 cm] long, 3 to 6 flowered inflorescence
