Common Name Treutler's Epigenieum [British Orchid Collector later 1800's]

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in Yunnan province of China, Sikkim and Myanmar at elevations of 1400 to 2400 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with .4 to 2.6" [1 to 6.5 cm] between each small, narrowly ovoid pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, erect, elliptic-lanceolate, acute, sessile leaves that blooms in the spring on a hysteranthous, .72 to .8" [1.8 to 2 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with sub-obovate, obtuse-mucronate, membraneous floral bracts.
