Common Name The Straight Leaved Epidendrum

Flower Size 1.2” [3 cm]

Found in Ecuador on both sides of the Andes at elevations of 2600 to 3000 meters as a medium to large sized, cold growing terrestrial or lithophyte with erect, branching, cane-like stems carrying all along the stem, deciduous below, characteristicly ascending, almost parallel to the stem, elliptic-lanceolate, margins finely erose, those on the main stem larger leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on a terminal, from the main stem or the branches, racemose, erect, without a spathe, occasionally with a basal bract, successively many, numerous flowered inflorescence with prominent, longer tha the ovary, gradually shorter above, wide, triangular floral bracts and carrying non-resupiante, fleshy, yellow green more or less tinged with red flowers .
