Found in Trinidad & Tobago, Surinam, Fr Guiana, Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, Bolivia and Brazil at elevations of 90 to 1500 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial orchid with an erect stem carrying lanceoalte, acute, gradually narrowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on a terminal to axillary, erect, racemose, successively few to several flowered inflorescence
