Found in Guyana and northern Brazil in open places usually on sandstone outcroppings at elevations of 100 to 1500 meters as a giant sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying well separated narrowly elliptic to narrowly lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms on an erect, successively several flowered inflorescence
